Long Run Explor Ltd Ord > A Share Deal could be possible?

A Share Deal could be possible?

$2.1b for 66,000 BOE per day...that equals $32,000 per producing barrel. The comparison is material as they have twice the oil and twice the debt. The real value to share holders is that Noble is giving value through a share offer and not a cash deal...likely more deals like this to come? Comparing apples to apples would lead an investor to determine: LRE has 32,000 of producing barrels per day x $32.000 per barrel = $1b / 193m shares outstanding = $5.30 per share with a similar share deal....makes you think this could be indeed possible here? HOUSTON (May 11, 2015) -- Noble Energy, Inc. (Noble Energy) (NYSE: NBL) and Rosetta Resources Inc. (Rosetta) (NASDAQ: ROSE) today announced a definitive merger agreement whereby Noble Energy will acquire all of the common stock of Rosetta in an all-stock transaction valued at $2.1 billion, plus the assumption of Rosetta's net debt of $1.8 billion as of March 31, 2015. The deal will accelerate value delivery from our strong asset base, and the all-stock nature of the transaction will allow our shareholders to continue to reap that value growth across commodity price cycles...Rosetta's assets produced 66 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day in the first quarter of 2015

Interesting numbers since LRE is still trading 4.5 times below book value. Many are saying the US dollar is gong to fall so Cdn. value should increase. LRE debt under the present strategy is manageable & oil & NG prices will continue to rise. A share deal under the present & pending forecast would only be possible with Sproatt & Franklin resources agreeing & your number around ...more

Hello Reflect! Like you we can only hope that oil and nat gas prices rise in the future. My post on the Noble purchase was to show LRE shareholders that our current debt of $700m will not stop a major from having a look ... and instead of a cash offer based on the current share price...base the offer on the producing barrels of oil, which would be good for shareholders. During this down turn it is ...more

There's the saying: "Snooze You Lose!" You betcha there is a great interest by the institutions to acquire LRE because they want it & that is why there is a steady campaign to discredit LRE holdings & mgt. & exaggerate the debt to create disillusement & dispair. But its failing - the shorts are running & the institutions such as TD will have egg in their faces ...more

Let's put into real perspective. Say you bought a $300,000 house & the snoteaters at TD come along & say your house is worth 5Xs less than book value meaning $60,000 & because you still owe $60,000 on the house. The market agrees, your house is only worth $60,000 so TD snoteaters can justify stealing your house & you still owe them money. What a country. LRE paid well more ...more

"5) LRE only disposed of $10 mil of non core assests during the quarter." Only $2 mil was sold during Q1. LRE also paid out $3.5 mil worth of dividends during Q1. With only $55 mil of capex for the rest of 2015,their goal of lowering debt by $100 mil would only require another $30 mil of property sales.
Comment by wilwal on May 21, 2015 1:35pm
At current BOE production prices for NG and oil, I figure LRE's production is worth about $1.4 -1.5 billion.  Minus the debt of $700million and you have about $4/share or so. I can't see anyone paying cash for that price, but you never know what might be done with paper. The stated plan is an asset sale to cover the $100 million planned debt pay-down.  Unless they got a really ...more

Wilwal you're just blowing smoke. LRE is persuing a strategy which is right on course. Instead of puffing put down the figures so that we can expose you for a fool trying to scare us like you are a boogey man. Hit the road Wilwal -either you are an imbecil or a shorter - one thing for sure - you are not an investor.
Comment by wilwal on May 21, 2015 7:51pm
I bought 85,000 shares today for starters.    Now try to have an intelligent conversation if that is possible.
Comment by Reflect on May 21, 2015 8:18pm
Truthfully; you bought that many shares & don't have confidence in LRE mgt. & the direction they are taking but run them down. I'm not a fool but you must be. I invested in LRE & continue to invest because I believe in the stock & the direction & strategy mgt. is taking. I do not run the stock down or curse mgt. For anyone who follows my posts, they know I am neither a pumper nor a dumper.  I make rational assessments of a stock and don't try to trick readers.  It is what it is. It is strange to construe my post as negative.......this is an 85 cent stock, fair value by huge volumes of trading every day, and I am assessing it at $4 right now!   If that is negative to you, you had better ...more

Wilwal you're all malarky & must be rating your own posts or there is another BSer like you out there.  You're nothing but a BSer & anybody that listens to your bull or you are a complete blithering fool. Go find another sucker to listen to your garbage.

You people never quit - you just couldn't wait to come back again. You & your coherts are determined to bring LRE down to get the longs here in LRE to panic sell. You are not investors & admit it. thefabergegg there you go with your lies. What's there to see through. I invest in LRE because I want the company to succeed & I can reap the benefits. shlinker you are a rotten egg just like that other monkey. I don't go under any other name. I take it Reflect that your average cost here is between $5 and $6.  I feel for you.  You will never see it all back because oil has changed forever.  We will never see $100/bbl again.  The truth hurts.  You won't see $4 in this stock in two years.  However, there is opportunity here right now.  I would suggest averaging down right now and get on board in the ...more

Sorry I offended you.   I have never publicly posted any holding levels before in over 2 thousand posts elsewhere, and in retrospect, I shouldn't have in this case.  The reason I posted it is that I had thought the person I was responding to was a serious participant who had innocently misunderstood my posts as being a "shorter" which in fact I am bullish on the stock and ...more

$4.00 a share that's a nice price Wilwal.  I think LRE can get more but then $4.00 as you state sounds okay.
Comment by wilwal on May 27, 2015 1:49pm
I don't think it can happen in the near future......maybe later if the price of oil goes back to $90+.  $4 is not likely to happen to a 79 cent stock.  As I mentioned in another post, it won't happen simply because no acquisitor could convince their BOD to do it no matter how much anyone thinks it is worth.

wilwal what will you say tomorrow? You change your mind as fast as the rooster crows. Still waiting for you to prove the LEG & LTS have less debt than LRE.
Comment by wilwal on May 27, 2015 2:09pm
I have no idea what you are going on about debt.  LEG has more gross debt than LRE.  I don't know anything about LTS.  Go research it yourself if you find it important for some reason.
Comment by Reflect on May 27, 2015 2:18pm
Maybe this is another wilwal or someone using his alias.
Comment by wilwal on May 27, 2015 2:26pm
Are you for real?   Your claims are ridiculous. It says nothing about LTS and "same" does not mean "lower" as you claimed.    Of course it is not exactly the same, but it is in a similar ballpark.

Management didn't see what shale was doing to oil and we aren't sure if they yet understand that oil markets have changed forever. Most of their blunders can be to this hubris that $100 oil was here to stay (and they weren't the only ones in the oil patch like that).  Lots of oil managements thought the party would last forever.  However, this isn't just another ho-hum ...more
