Until the distribution is increased, short sellers can hedge their position by buying the debenture to offset. The interest income covers the distribution and their worst case is the $7.80

After getting beat up last year, the stock has seen some life to start the year. Seen this happening in a few other value stocks as investors place their bets on a sustained recovery.
