I think that the Fed would reduce the prime rate in the summer of 2024, under pressure of the democracts to have a chance to do better at the forthcoming US election. At the same time WHO KNOWS?

They drop rates at the appropriate time and my best guess would be shortly after Q1. There are 3 planned rate cuts and each would be about a quarter point. This would take the Fed funds to 4.5-4
