Fair enough, insurers are outpacing banks but a recession often thrown about is not happening. At the time Buffet did also buy a bunch of treauries which stoked the fear index. I was not concerned ...more

Canada inflation rate drops to 1.6%

This should be enough fuel for the BoC to cut .5% next week. Good for the economy, good for the massive number of mortgage renewals in 2025, good for banks.

I own 2 out of the 3 you've mentioned and FFN is not one of them. BK is not paying as much as FFN is but, IMO, it's a lot safer.

Outside of TD,the CAD banks doing ok as well. BK not performing nearly as good as FTN or FFN.. and both of those trading at about a 9% discount , and paying a higher yield.
