What??? Real estate companies are constantly doing deals, buying new properties or portfolios of properties. And the Canadian market has seen lots of REIT mergers. Just off the top of my head: HR.UN ...more

there is no synergy from merger between real estate companies. Rather, the benefit is too low to justify any merger.
