It actually does make perfect sense if you think about it. At 2 cents a share they only have to give out 50% of what they were in drip shares.

Based on FFO of last quarter, MRT can actually double it's dividend (almost 16% yield) for 95% payout. Does not make any sense to cut the dividend

Priced in?? The stock went up 10% in roughly the last week, I cant imagine a 50% off dividend cut was priced in after an already 50% dividend cut 10 months ago

Mgmt might have looked at Riocan and First Capital, who both cut in the past couple of months, and the stock price held up pretty well. It will be interesting to read the analyst comments. As I said ...more
