Buybacks are not wise for Sylogist as the Trudeau Government will soon impose a "2% Buyback Tax" starting January 1, 2024.

Dividend is not eliminated it is reduced to 1 cent per share which anytime a company does this the stock takes a hit.  Probably a wise move on the part of management because the buybacks will be ...more

If Sylogist gets rid of dividends, the share price will be substantially lower as investors will lose an incentive to invest in that company.
