43-101 on its wayJust spoke to Marc. They received the 43-101 report last week, however it first needs to be passed through SDRG's legal department, and subsequently back to the engineering firm for final sign-off, before being released to the public.
Due to these hurdles, combined with all the vacations during the Christmas period, the report will not be released until next week, or at the very latest the following week.
Per the presentation on the SDRG website, they have previously estimated that inferred resources at Cerro las Minitas are about 20 million ounces of silver, excluding the significant zinc and lead deposits that are there as well. Thus, anything above that level would be gravy, in my view.
Either way, given the significant success they have had in their early exploratory efforts, as well as the aggressive drilling plan that is being planned and the massive discoveries right next door (Velardana and San Sebastian for example), I wouldn't be surprised if that initial 20 million ounce estimate turns into 50-100 million ounces within 12-18 months.
Either way, it is quite clear that Cerro las Minitas is likely to be a very, very profitable property IMO, and one that likely will turn out to be significantly larger than initially anticipated.
Happy New Year to all longs, and may 2007 be as good to us as 2006.
