Volta Resources (TSX: T.VTR, Stock Forum)shares surged 30% to 19.5 cents on Thursday after the micro cap minerreported a NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate at its Gaouacopper-gold porphyry project in Burkina Faso, west Africa. At a 0.45%copper equivalent cut-off grade, the Dienemera and Gongondy depositshost an initial Inferred Resource of 82,600,000 tonnes grading 0.40%copper and 0.40 grams per tonne (g/t) gold for a total of 724,880,000lbs of copper and 1,072,900 ounces of gold.

VTR Mkt Cap now $10 million. For 1 million oz gold at less than .5 g/t. MNR's mkt cap is about double that for current RC 2.6 million oz (gold equiv) - with 1.5 g/t gold (approx). Depending on what their updated 43-101 comes in at, at least 25 cents on the surge. And if Dr. Guest can put it together with an important corporate development, then he has really earned his keep (and then some). That will be exactly how a successful junion mining explorer would advance shareholders' interests. imo. p.
