Thanks for the info. The retailprice for a 5K grid-tied inverter seems to be around $2500, or 50 cents awatt(https://shop.solardirect.com/index.php?cPath=23_161_165_196&gclid=CMmGlqeCkKcCFYa7Kgodmh25cg).Are the figures you're quoting retail?
