mergers

mergersi have been in gold stocks its seems forever i agree the gold market does need a shot in the arm . big mergers or buyouts of smaller or big gold firms . i believe that placer dome well be bought out by newmount gold. why ?cause NEM stock is now in good shape. nem is trading at 27 plus us$ market cap 4.6 Bill nav of over three and no hegde. placer is selling at half the mutiples of nav andmarket cap has alittle bit of cash and a nice foothold in south africa.just what nem wants. you will see soon that placer will be bought by nem soon for all shares .nem has now 170 mill shares out to by placer will need at least 135 mill shares at 27 us$ (thus placer at 11 and change us$ ) still very cheap and doable for nem also i believe barrick will take franco cause franco has cash and holds very large rolayaties on goldstrike which barrick payes close to 50 mill per year to franco .buy out franco out 20-22 cnd (franco then worth 3.2 to 3.5 bill ) barrick gets syndermine producing 350 000 oz 1 billion in cash saves 50 mill plus every year for decades and the rest is gravy barrick will buy for cash and some stock thats what i think and if it happens ift will for sure wake up the dead in the gold sector
