BNN Ben Cheng picked PLT.UN as a top pick the other day. That stock is paying almost 13% at 8.00,(10.00 issue price) but the only problem is that its bopd is pretty gassy. I will take an oily Eagle any day, esp when the new project is announced.
Apparently they have beeb very close to closing on a couple of different properties, but just missed. they have 1/2 dozen others that they are pursuing however. With the structure of the production industry in the US the way it is, there are many areas which were thought to be drilled out, as it were, over the last few decades, but with horizontal drilling and fraccing getting safer all the time, there should be hundreds of fields to choose from. The big boys do not want to be bothered with secondary and tertiary recovery for small and smaller medium fields.
