abx buying placer ????

abx buying placer ????i do believe that the gold market needs a shot in the head , a huge merger or buyout of a large N.A producer at the right price (at least 20-30 % )above market price would ignite interst that will spread to other gold shares world wide.that being said will abx buy or merge with placer , well first abx needs control so a merger is out ,a buyout would be hard . abx has a huge float (400 mill shares)an all share purchase abx would need to offer at least 200 mill shares at 18.25 US$ (pdg would be at 11 US$ ) not bad for placer now abx would have 600 mill shares out at 18.25 a market cap of 11 bill US$ by in large the largest cap of any gold miner . this might be to dilutive for abx shareholders and may scare investors just by the shear size and outstanding shares and huge market cap .as a shareholder of pdg i would love to see abx offer 11 us$ but i dont see it happening but maybe a bidding war might happenen with newmount gold which i do believe has a better chance of getting placer either way shareholders of placer win .
