You can look at it another way, Penner was thrown in as President based on his financial expertise to find a logical buyer, merger candidate, or just to figure out how to lower their debt.   In the end, I would pin this disaster to Ed and his Board.   They had a good thing going, they lucked out with their swan hills play, just to remind everyone, before new technology was discovered, Fast Eddie made alot of huge promises and never met any of his production targets, the stock was less than a buck at one point.  Then by pure luck their resource play was unlocked with multi stage technology, so next thing you know, Fast Ed had his arms in the air declaring himself the King.   Well, with a few bad acquisitions and overspending, him and the Board are bringing the company back to new lows.    I hope Penner will be able to solve the problems, I will never forget who started this mess, and we all know it was not Penner.
