They have an enornously powerful, global brand. Their tech may not be on the market yet, but they can still cause investor hesitation just by saying: "Hmm.... We're interested in that market too."

The fact that they already have powerful analytics tools in general is a cause for concern, plus their R&D budget is intimidating. I expect EKG to do well because they've been cultivating in-roads in a niche market for a long time. I'm very confident in their capabilities and innovation and the CEO seems to have a long-term strategic plan in place — that's all fantastic.

But Google will continue to be an elephant in the room, because they can leverage their reputation with the public (i.e. investors).  And that continues to make me nervous.
