growing organicallyIn general, infrastructure companies that pay out big distributions (REITs especially) cannot grow organically in the sense that they can grow without takeovers but they must keep issuing more and more and more shares.
AXY can grow without taking over another enterprise but it cannot do so without issuing massive numbers of new shares.
Also, in infrastructure, family businesses often grow to be quite large and they do so organically.
However, this growth takes place over 30 to 50 years. This time horizon is longer than most of us care about.
