RE:SharksThe exchange deducts the dividend from share price before markets open on ex-div. All else remaining the same, the dividend is a non-factor.

However, there sometimes is a very small amount of money to be made while retail morons (i.e. us) panic that morning and sell off, thinking the share price has fallen when it hasn't, but the window doesn't last long.
