RE:RE:RE RE RE: Dirt cheap I agree. We have not seen a new transit contract but it’s been one of the worst environments to expect a contract from a transit authority... let alone a multimillion dollar one. Not to mention, replacing or upgrading your fleets’ camera systems is certainly not a frequent occurrence in the transit world. A quick search in google shows there has been no new transit camera systems installed by any of the major cities as TopStockBuy adumbrated. So we haven’t lost any deals to competitors.
Regarding GSI’s accomplishments for 2021 thus far, they certainly have had a steady stream of contracts and I am expecting the next few months to be at least similar to last year. All Doug has done is strengthen the board of directors and there was no one amongst management selling shares during the run in February.
The last point I would like to make is this... I remember some dark days when GSI was literally 0.10. Check the chart, it was a long while where we sat there. I remember the frustration, thinking to myself, we have a decent product, patchy sales yes... some developing relationships in the school bus market and transit market and even some cash in the bank... well at 0.10 at the time, our market cap was a pathetic $9M. That’s where the market valued us. We had cash, inventory, some developing intellectual property and a $9M MC! I see parallels to then and now. The market does not care about this story and discounts us. Meanwhile another camera company like VSBY with massive deficits and losses and no real revenue is the same MC as us! GSI is not exciting to the market yet. I assert this as I scour other boards and see the utter lack of online discussions regarding GSI relative to other ‘more exciting’ plays. We are cheap guys, at least in my opinion.
We have cash, a substantial market presence and blossoming relationships. I need not repeat what is already so well known here. Impatient investors have bailed.
Regardless of my disappointment in the SP drop and it’s parallels to the 2017-2018 days, I maintain my belief this company will succeed in landing some major deals which will ultimately lead to a buyout down the road. If I’m wrong and they don’t get the big contracts I will be punished financially for my poor judgement. Holding my shares because fortune favours the bold.
