RE:Finding the Next Takeout in Canadian Small-Capsranman wrote: We made the list. We're one of the tinier MC companies. What you need to know:
• Over the past two months, there have been seven takeouts of Canadian
small/mid-caps. We think this demonstrates the major disconnect
between fundamentals and valuation in the market today which financial
and strategic buyers are taking advantage of.
• We outline six common characteristics of the acquisitions in order to

that meet the criteria.

Interesting find and a good break down surrounding takeover criteria for some of these companies. That being said with only a 32 million dollar marketcap I doubt GateKeeper would be on many radar lists at this stage of business. Until they land those bigger contracts and branch out to other big transit authority's besides SEPTA we just need to keep grinding away. Sure the shareprice is dissapointing and these markets have not been kind to microcaps, smallcaps and even midsized companies.
Of course I am talking about the companies that are growing revenue, cashflow positive and making money. It sucks watching a SP sitting and spinning its wheels and worse is watching these aniemic trading volumes we see daily with so many stocks. If the business fundamentals are sound and there is blood in the streets, you know what they say we should be doing right.
We have been in this pattern for a long time now, when will the tides turn???? Geopolitical risk is concerning, economic risk is concerning, recession, interest rates. Not much money flowing in these sectors, I guy starts to wonder if patience will ever be rewarded, 60 plus years on this planet, crazy, crazy times.
