Not sure what you are expecting while rates are rising but I will gladly accept a lower payout ratio as a precursor to an eventual distribution bump up. Of course NAV/u will drop in that environment and will reverse when rates drop. As the NAV rises the ratio to debt will improve accordingly. Not likely dead money when the worm turns and returns on GICs dwindle again. The long term chart demonstrates that clearly.
