ronron wrote: I'd put a good bet that it's the news on the data center. I know it was already mentioned in the Youtube interview before, but not everyone follows those, and a timeframe was never specified in the interview. The illiquidity here makes it so ripe for price discovery and news taking a much longer time for the market to "digest". The way I personally interpret the news is that, given how prudent the leadership has been in using their resources and managing the timeline, whatever capacity the data center has is expected to be filled up quickly. Leadership indirectly telling everyone that guidance for the whole year, not just Q1 and Q2, and that there is a lot of demand.

It's not the first time people get confused on why the stock price doesn't instantly go up after good news. The illiquidity is a huge barrier, and the price action has been the realm of retail investors right now. 10K shares (~$6K) shouldn't be enough to bump up the stock price +1.6% (almost $1 million increase in market cap). it's just that no one wants to sell at those asks, so those prices got cleared out quickly once retail investors finally take their action on their lunch break (lol). Or it could also be the hesitation you'd expect from retail investors who won't instantly clear those asks right away because of the bid-ask spreads (when every .01 is +/- 1.6%). Or maybe I'm just projecting.

Projection or not, I do believe you can see (IN HINDSIGHT) some of the psychology behind the patterns and movements with the price action due to the nature of the stock right now. That said, I certainly wouldn't try using TA to predict FUTURE movements. I'm counting on the company to deliver results for that instead

I would agree that company specific news of the data center was the reason. Even on the day of the news release, the stock was hesitating to move in the early hours as investors were patient with their bids. When investors knew they had to hit the bid to get their buys, the stock started to move. We know the significance of being able to scale up recurring rev.
