That upside move is long overdue. Yield of over 11% did not make sense. The quality of this issue is not that bad!
I suspect recent ECN Q2 positive results together with anticipation of lower interest rates in North America combined to generate more interest in ECN.PR.C.

When will it stop?  I do not know but it would be fair to expect a yield of about 9% or less by 2025, based on an annual dividend of $1.98 per share. This would represent a share price in excess of $22.

Not bad at all.


PS - Dividend is scheduled for reset in September 2027, indicating higher potential income.
