Due bill trading and taxDoes anyone know what the tax rules are? Who pays the withholding tax on the special dividend if you buy the stock during the due bill trading period, those stock holders that were on record as of December 23 or those who buy during the due bill trading period, ie now and receive the dividend from the seller on December 31?
