The Company’s investment objectives with respect to the preferred shares are to provide holders of preferred shares with cumulative preferential monthly cash dividends in an amount fixed by the board of directors on an annual basis. Tumultuous times make for tumultuous stock markets. 

SPLITs traded at a positive NAV when they first started appearing, because people didn't understand how much risk is involved. There is a lot of risk in all of them. 

I'm not saying that investing in them properly isn't profitable by any means. I've made a lot of money to aid a comfortable retirement on them over the past twenty years. 

The thing is, don't get blinded by the NAV or the payout. 

Most folks who bought into these at inception have lost money or broken even. There is no free ride. 

GLTA the good folks here. 

Tumultuous times.... not sure what you mean by that..... the market has Been almost a rocket ship for 2 years... most people I know have made out like bandits the last 2 years...
