You're being paid to take the extra risk with an increased distribution, some of which is ROI, and when times are bad, the distribution being waived, until they get better.
You're making your "capital gain" every month in the distribution.
That's why I don't believe these investment vehicles were ever intended to trade at a "premium" to NAV.
I can understand them trading at NAV or maybe a percent or two above, below, but anything else means there is an underlying sentiment or issue not readily visible.
This is just IMHO of course.
