The current leader has not made1 mining concession in years and has made Mexico very unfriendly towards mining are unrealistic.

• Public Bidding: All new mining concessions must be awarded through public bidding processes.
• Concession Terms: The term for mining concessions has been reduced from 50 years to 30 years, with a one-time renewal for an additional 25 years.
• Environmental and Social Permits: Concessions will only be granted after securing necessary environmental, social, and labor authorizations.                                                                                                                                                        

The new leader does not take office until October 1/2024 and the only hope is they change things or we are screwed plain and simple.

I heard the same warnings about Colombia and Brazil. Hasn't come to fruition yet. Politicians are all the same, they know what side the bread is buttered on. But fearmongering does present opportunities. T
