AXY announced a major favourable ruling in Iceland on December 01 2016.
It is very hard for AXY management to disappoint me. My expectations are so low based on their abysmal performance over 6 years that I set the bar very very low for them.
But now for the first time in years I am disappointed. The share price took a flying leap by up to 20% based on the December news. Guess what? The share price has fallen back to where it was over the past 8 weeks.
This is so bad that even I am disappointed.
My interpretation is that news is leaking out that Q4 results were horrible. It is not sure but that is the indication. Otherwise, insiders and their friends would have been filling their boots, so to speak.
There will be one bit of fantastic news. Mr Beaty will once again present great expectations about the rosy future. He will be found to be in error by the actual performance and he will once again make fabulous promises about Q2
Funds understand this but individual investors continue to accept false stories about the future.
It is a pity really
