End Game

I always consider these Bullboards a stockholders mutual support and cheering section.
-
Heaven knows, we needed it - the path can be lonely and scary.
-
When I sell a stock, I simply disappear without a word.
IMHO, it would be bad manors to bring this disparagement to the Bullboard.
In my case, you would simply no longer see the EOM report.
-
My first impression of the ‘takeover’ was a euphoric “Oh boy, its over”.
“Now I am free to find the next speculation, hopefully something with more ‘action’ in it.”

-
It seemed like we were stuck in a ‘$5?’ trading range forever.
In fact, I started the EOM report in an attempt to see if we were actually going anywhere.
If you are slowly going up, you often don’t see it.
-
Unlike most, I specialize in junior resource stocks, usually gold.
I don’t have an objective sell price.
The objective is to be taken over - this saves me some thinking.
-
Here, we have reached our objective - End game - We have stuck it out until the end.
We are heros.
-
Celebrate, have a cigar, have a beer, watch the sunset with a smile and satisfaction.
-
-
However I want to emphasize that this is still the Alterra Power Corp. Bullboard.
It is not yet the Innergex Renewable Energy Bullboard.
-
It is the end of the road for our Alterra Power Corp. Bullboard.
Our objectives have been met. The game is over. We are heros.
-
My objective with this post is to elaborate that the rules have changed.
This is no longer a ‘cheerleading’ Bullboard, but a disbursement of shareholders Bullboard.
-
Feel free to discuss your opinions, we are under no obligation to be pro-Innergex here.
The old manners no longer apply.
-
-
I think that I just learned a new vocabulary word: ‘Tendering’.
-
Quote:
What is Marin [Katusa] going to do?
-
I plan on tendering my shares.
-
Tendering my shares means I will exchange all my shares of Alterra Power for Innergex shares (I do not want cash, as I would have to pay tax on the cash, and believe Innergex will go higher).
-
Innergex is a sound company and this is how one builds significant wealth and passive cash flow in a solid company with long life assets.

-
End Quote.
-
-
Tendering our shares.
Is this the correct expression?
-
So, RJ plans to 'follow the leader' and tender his shares also.

What is the process for switching all shares to Innergex? Is the changeover to Innergex considered a sell and a buy? If so, is a capital gains triggered on the sale of Alterra shares? Thanks.

RJ, The articles I have been reading (long-story short) seem to state the INE dividend is safe and most likely growing although the payout ratio is high. Additionally, the long-term debt has significantly increased in the past several years and the articles wonder where the growth is going to come from. It appears as if AXY helps solve the growth and pipeline issue for INE; INE solves the cost ...more

The new ride continues. Cheers to all, I have been doing some math and think the 2 options  pare .5563 and .4172 of course that was at 8.25. Now let's say 13.60 is the new price it then would be  7.565 and 7.73. Would it be best to move over and grab the dividend? Ross thinks to go down with the ship but of course he was able to buy in at $6 along with the bank. alterra dividend was ...more

Not that it means much, but target prices on Innergex are between $15-20: https://www.4-traders.com/INNERGEX-RENEWABLE-ENERGY-1410457/consensus/ https://www.stocktargetprices.com/company/Innergex%20Renewable%20Energy I'm betting that the selling is overdone, and will soon recover. You can request cash, but there is only a limited amount available, so you might and up with shares anyway. GLTA ...more
