Did Peller Plunder Peller?

I have often been told over the years that having dual class shares is good.  The usual argument is founders have a vision that shareholders lack so they can focus on the business rather the stock.

In reality I have found that the best reason for dual class shares is when management doesn't focus on the business or the stock price.  Shareholders get really upset but there isn't much they can do except sell their shares.  Thankfully I sold mine.

I think of the $5.8 million Ontario VQA Support Program as hard hit middle class Ontario tax payers funding the extragagant Peller Retirement Program except the Peller Retirement program cost $6.5 million.  Hahaha.

Maybe that's not entirely right and the struggling middle class tax funded Ontario VQA Support Program should be thought of as The Peller Family Legal Fund as there was $3 million spent there.

The company lost $7 million in the quarter and it was another sad unprofitable year for shareholders whose last name is not Peller.

Remember this company without CEO succession is Acumen Capitals Dark Horse Pick at $11 from mid January 2024.

That is an excellent point!  Executive compensation below $300 if receiving a taxpayer handout. I never thought I would be writing about John Peller plundering the company.  When I started my journey it was from a place of deep reverence.  I admired what generations of what the Peller family had built and accomplished.  I went to Peller Estates many times long before I was ...more

As someone who worked in Neutron Jack Welch's GE, it was always drilled in to us that the company only owed us for the work we'd done and we were only as good as our last accomplishment. Funny how those who espouse the capitalist creed are so quick to exercise the entitlement of power when the opportunity arises. Yes, indeed, IMO, the CEO is pilfering from Peller shareholders.
