US markets closed , every CAD holding up in BK

Hard to figure the dumping in BK,  all i can think of  is some are moving their funds to FTN,  since it is similar, trading at a discount and has a higher yield. BK has a bit more safety, but not enough to  really make it a better buy. BK yield is increasing based on the next distributions payout....but if the common share price keeps going down it wont in the long term.

Welcome to the dark side :). Glad you agree with the valuation here compared to most of the splits, many of which do not pay or pay regularly.

FTN isn't exactly a rock of stability.  It pays a high distribution, but it's also losing ground when its base price is taken into account. When the two are factored together, there isn't much if any advantage.  Return of capital is OK to a point, but should be considered when figuring out overall returns.  GLTA the good folks here.
