9th Most Undervalued Stock on the TMX

ECN is listed 9th on this list of the most undervalued stocks on the TSX and TSXV. What's kind of amazing is how ECN sticks out like a sore thumb because the overwhelming majority of names on this list are mining and resource stocks.

If you look at the top 20 names on that most undervalued list, ECN is the only stock with a market cap greater than $500M. Just another example of just how anomalous the value of ECN has become.

You're correct in that it's a pretty motley list. A number of stocks haven't traded today or have exceptionally low volume. The only ones that most would likely recognize would be Aimia (#12), Algoma Steel (#42), Reitmans (#44) and Interfor (#48). ECN sticks out like a sore thumb in the top ten with a PE of 0.60. Still waiting for the knife to hit the floor. GLTA

Hi rcf, where are you thinking bottom will be at before jumping in, 2.60ish?
Comment by snootchybootchy on Dec 12, 2022 6:12pm
Maybe I was reading more subtext in the press releases than ECN intended but I thought ECN were going to use the proceeds from the Kessler divestment to make more aquisitions related to their core businesses. I keep thinking we'll hear about an aquisition any day now, and the minute before that announcement is made public will be the bottom.

The markets are incredibly volatile (ie. we jumped yesterday on good volume and then promptly gave it all back) so I have no real idea. That said, I doubt we get much lower than $2.75. Remember that some may have taken their tax losses in mid November so the 30 days may soon pass and they could be looking to jump back in. GLTA
