If I remember it right, Fantome (a great contributor for this board) said institutes did big transaction at the end of the day or use MOC to avoid price volatility. Buy order must have a sell order ...more

Same volume  burst and end of day today in NY. Ave vol 4.5 m, 2:45 pm 4.2 m, end of day 7 m traded so roughly 2.8ms last minute, This happened two days last week on the same exchange. not ...more
