Was a time all the split funds tradied at a premium to nav for a very long time unless you are new to these that was the normal...as for all the political stuff well yada yada.... invest make money look the other way.....the more you care the worse you invest.... lol

Now you're just trying to fan some flames.  If you don't pay attention to what drives the bottom line of the SPLITs, you LOSE MONEY.  Tumultuous times make for tumultuous stock markets.  SPLITs traded at a positive NAV when they first started appearing, because people didn't understand how much risk is involved. Tumultuous times.... not sure what you mean by that..... the market has Been almost a rocket ship for 2 years... most people I know have made out like bandits the last 2 years...

I've done very well, not complaining at all.  However, "things" have changed all over the world concerning financial dealings.  Not being aware of what's going on and paying attention to how your investments are being effected by the repercussions is a recipe for disaster.  Just because it isn't happening in North America, doesn't mean it should be ...more

C'mon toppicks you're supposed to know this stuff.  Don't tell me you believe "everything only happens in the USA?" All sorts of things, all over the world have negative/positive effects on markets.  You know this. What are you getting at? GLTA the good folks here.
