Best hedge value-growth ETF

I admit when I first came across this ETF I didn't take it seriously because it didn't seem profitable enough for my attention. But then I looked at its performance against all indices over the past 5 years. I was astonished by what I saw. This is perhaps the efficient hedger that provides growth and at least a nominal dividend that can potentially have an upside. The 5% growth makes it easily the best-performing ETF in the Canadian market. It has exposure to the US as well as the Big Six banks in Canada, with cash on the balance sheet. This is as close as a hedge fund performance as one can get at this low cost.

I'm using it along with THI, BCE, DGS, HEP and HGY.UN as a defensive growth div-paying portfolio, with a number of high-return stocks in VRS and CFN (CFN.UN).  With HAC, my portfolio should theoretically outperform the indices including SP 500 by 25-30% with an expected growth of 5-15% and stable dividend at 5-6%.

HAC is a strong buy especially during testing times of uncertainty.

JTLYK... XRE outperformed HAC year over year. I looked at HAC a while back and will take another look.  I own BCE and HEP as well. I also like ZUT.

And hence I said, HAC was one of the best. It's interesting that even that attracted a response. (I love to learn from other investors.) Thank you! I believe most of us are able to afford owning both ETFs, so I suppose there ...more
