HOT responded regarding witholding tax here;

We’ve issued the required Qualified Notice to notify brokers and others that no withholding applies under Section 1446(f)

Smart guy. This withholding tax is different from that withholding tax. Hopefully someone in this thread will educate you, not me.

I suggest you contact AHIP LP Investor Relations for full clarification based on your individual situation. Citiizenship, Residency, type of account, composition of distribution (and perhaps others that escape me at the moment) are all factors in whether tthe withholding tax is applied. Yeah I've held this in my TFSA for YEARS and not until now have been charged withholding tax. You are a complete jerk - I've met your type too many times. You wear sock n sandles, smell and drive an old BMW. Miserable and think you are king. I can picture you now. But you can always give me your address and I will confirm in person at my expense.
