Question - Impact on Canadian Oil & NG Equities
My question to fellow investors is what impact do you think Trumps swearing in as President will have on Canadian Oil & Natural Gas Equities before, the day of and a few days following the swearing in ceremonies.
IMO it will have a minimal affect as I believe NG and oil will not be included in Trumps suggested 15% tariff and I believe that will come out a day or two before or day of his inauguration .
it is easy and inexpensive to liquidate a portion of my/your portfolio, but I am having a difficult time deciding what to do . I did liquidate a fair bit of my equities days before Biden was elected thinking stocks would take a big dive if he got in. Well I ended up buying back all of the oil and NG equities at a price higher than what I received when I sold them. It wasn't a big loss, but I am curios what others are thinking.
Thank you

My thinking for what it is worth, it that really what the USA does not want to see Canadian Production fall, and we are the reason for why the USA has cheap energy. Does the USA really want to import for oil from Iran or some other country with a dictator. I think energy is a safe place for what its worh, but that is only my opinion. MHP IMHO

I agree with your comments MHP. I think Canadian oil and NG equities will only be impacted for a day/days until Trump clarifies his position on Canadian Oil and Gas.. I believe he will clarify tarriffs will not be applied. I am more concerned with a large short term fall.
