Well at least that answers one question

A reason, I have heard before and thought myself.

With Cynthia well into an age where I hope she starts enjoying the fruits of her labour more than  still doing the labour.

It gives her an out sooner than later, without having to wait for a big Sr to buy LME.

It does lower my expectations on buyout price though.... but hey as long as we hit higher then  $1.5 it will turn out OK for me.

Although my private island will turn out to be a camper parked on crown land, somewhere....

Going private usually involves a Premium to any buyout.

I still can't understand how this can go for less than $5-6 USD/share, given that there's 2.5M oz proven AND as much as another 9.5 M oz potentially (this is according to the USCG and IMG's own circulation)

and yet....we're trending DOWN again the last couple weeks on decent volume

I agree jojo, as the document states - potential range up to 12 million ounces.   Be super happy with 5-6 USD share.   Document even states market value at 12.5 ounces at estimate of 30 billion.    Can we get over 10 USD a share.

Thanks for this! Can someone please post the link to this document and point out where it states the potential range up to 12m ounces? I need to see this with my own eyes haha

What document are you referring to? The USCG presentation deck? Are you referring to the mineral potential range from the Technical Report? The high end AU oz was already calculated by Lambo to be 2.5M oz, not 12M oz. You can't just multiply the highest end of Mt and the highest end of gold oz. Each drill area had specific ranges. Plus, we already know USCG thinks there's 2.5M gold oz ...more

Quick chat gtp estimate: To estimate Laurion Mineral Exploration’s valuation in a go-private transaction with mineral resources, several factors must be considered, including the gold price, the value of indicated and inferred resources, and the discount rates typically applied to such valuations.   1. Gold Resource Valuation Framework   • Indicated Resources: Generally ...more

were sitting at .375 and your bottom figure of $6.2 billion dollars is astronomical ...back to matlas pie in the sky numbers...no one has 6.2 bn all cash to take this private imo.  thats $23.25+ canadian  we should be happy (and expect) anything around a 10x+ (4-5+ cad) ...Cynthia even states 10x on her linkedin summary.  if they can pull out a $6bn transaction to private equity ...more

You misunderstood, $6bil is the market value not buyout value
Comment by JrGoldMan on Nov 18, 2024 8:16pm
8-10% of value is buyout range
