Walmart (
NYSE:WMT,
Stock Forum), the world's largest retailer, has already discounted both of Apple's (
NASDAQ:AAPL,
Stock Forum) new iPhone models.
The company will sell the iPhone 5C for $79 and the iPhone 5S for $189, the company announced Thursday. The prices represent a $10 discount on the 5C and a $10 discount on the 5S from their regular retail prices.
Apple announced the new smartphones earlier this week. The 5C can be pre-ordered Friday, and both phones officially go on sale September 20.
Walmart usually carries iPhones at a lower price than other retailers
, but it is rare to skip ever selling the technology at full price.
The 5C comes in five colors -- white, pink, yellow, blue and green -- and has similar specs to the iPhone 5, which it will replace. The 5S is the higher-end model and has a plethora of updated features.
Along with Walmart's discounts on the new phones, older iPhone models have been heavily marked down. The iPhone 5 will cost $79, and the 4S will be $0.97.
The iPhone 4 will cost just 10 cents and comes with a $100 Walmart gift card. This makes the big-box retailer the least expensive place to buy any of the phones.
