Alexco Resource Corp. (TSX: T.AXR, Stock Forum) jumped 21% to 75 cents Tuesday after the company announced final results from the 2014 surface drilling program in the vicinity of the Flame and Moth deposit, which is located within the Keno Hill Silver District in Canada’s Yukon Territory.

The company said infill and definition and extension drilling totalled 15, 133 metres in 59 holes, focused on the northern and down-plunge areas of the northern Christal Zone, and on southern extensions of the southerly Lightning Zone.

Highlights from 22 holes that were drilled in and around the Christal Zone coughed up a 6.2-metre intersection (true width) which assayed 1,483 grams per tonne silver.

Drilling was completed to 20 to 30 metre-centers to confirm mineralization continuity and grade, and is expected to positively affect the overall resource model for the Christal Zone area.

NexGen Energy Ltd. (TSX: V.NXE, Stock Forum) 4.6% to 34 cents after the company posted results from a radon survey at its wholly-owned Rook 1 property in the southwest part of Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin.

A multi-point 480 metre-long by 20 to 150-metre wide radon in lake water anomaly has been discovered 400 metres northeast along strike from the Arrow Zone, the company said in a press release.

Baja Mining Corp. (TSX: V.BAJ, Stock Forum) rose 11% to 5 cents after the company said it has been advised that the Boleo copper-cobalt-zinc-manganese project in Mexico achieved first copper production on January 17, 2015.

The company also said in a press release that prior problems related to the acid plant have been resolved.

At current levels, Baja has a market cap of 17 million, based on 340.2 million shares outstanding. The 52-week range is 7 cents and 1 cent.
