TORONTO (SHfn) – Intrepid Mines (TSX: T.IAU, Stock Forum) shares climbed 18% to 46 cents on Tuesday after the miner reported drill results located within the main Tumpangpitu Prospect at its Tujuh Bukit Project in Indonesia, which included 568 metres of 0.60 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 0.49% copper & 105 ppm molybdenum.

As well, shares of Genoil (TSX: V.GNO, Stock Forum) shot up 100% to 23 cents as the provider of environmental cleanup technologies updated its shareholders on its sand decontamination & oil water separation technologies. In a recent press release Genoil discussed its sand and soil decontamination technology, which works alongside the Genoil Crystal Sea Oil Water Separator. These technologies address all the oil spill contamination emergencies in the Gulf of Mexico including the beaches, and the Louisiana marshlands. BP has shown interest in Genoil's cleanup solutions and they are in discussions with Genoil regarding the disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.

Empire Mining (TSX: V.EPC, Stock Forum), meanwhile, said it has signed a memorandum of understanding for a $3.1 million royalty sale and associated private placement with Anglo-Pacific Group PLC, in connection with its Bulqiza chromite project in Albania. Empire stock popped 32% to 14.5 cents.

Shares of U.S. Gold (TSX: T.UXG, Stock Forum) jumped 13% to $4.15 after the junior miner reported results of metallurgical testing at El Gallo in Mexico, which demonstrated average silver recovery from the bottle rolls and column tests of 87% and 54%, respectively.

And, Exeter Resource (TSX: T.XRC, Stock Forum) Tuesday announced that drilling is continuing to expand the zone within the Caspiche deposit in Chile. New results included 624 metres of 0.85 g/t gold and 0.28% copper from a depth of 424 meters. Its shares added 10% at $7.48.
