Rock Teck Lithium soars on drilling results: Canadian market movers

On Monday, the top TSX mover was BlackBerry (TSX: T.BB, Stock Forum). It fell 2.36% and was trading at $16.12 on volume of 4.6 million shares. The communications technology developer and long-term partner, Antenna Software, Inc. will be hosting a webinar on Tuesday, Feb.12, 2013.

BlackBerry will use the event to reveal the full range of enterprise-relevant features at the heart of its new platform, and to explore its implications for current and future users

San Gold Corp. (TSX: T.SGR, Stock Forum) was the second most active stock on the TSX. The stock lost 22.41% and trading at $0.45 on volume of 3.9 million. On Feb. 8, the gold producer said it had proven and probable mineral reserves of 253,000 ounces, an increase of 21% from March 31, 2012

Pinecrest Energy Inc. (TSX: V.PRY, Stock Forum) was the volume leader on the TSX Venture Exchange. It was down 6.5% and was trading at $1.15 on volume of 6.7 million. On Feb. 6, the petroleum and natural gas exploration, production and development company said its board of directors approved a 2013 capital budget of $136 million, focused on drilling, completion, equipping, tie-in and waterflooding the Slave Point light oil resource play in the company's greater Red Earth core area.

The second most active stock on the TSX Venture was Rock Teck Lithium Inc. (TSX: V.RCK, Stock forum) It rallied 40% and was trading at $0.035 after 2.9 million shares changed hands. The exploration junior announced the assay results for the first three channels completed at the Lochaber graphite project during the fourth quarter of 2012, including over 30.50 metres grading 2.49% graphite
