International PBX Ventures falls 16.7%: Canadian market movers

On Tuesday, the top TSX mover was Air Canada (TSX: T.AC.B, Stock Forum). The stock slipped 9.6% and was trading at $2.27 on volume of seven million.

On May 3, the airline reported a net loss of $260 million versus a net loss of $274 million in the first quarter of 2012.

Bellus Health Inc. (TSX: T.BLU, Stock Forum) was the second most active stock on the TSX. It dropped 17.2% and was trading at $0.265 on volume of 6.4 million shares.

The development-focused healthcare company had reported nothing to explain the change in the stock.

International PBX Ventures Ltd. (TSX: V.PBX, Stock Forum) was the volume leader on the TSX Venture Exchange. It lost 16.7% and was trading at $0.025 on volume of 6.1 million.

On May 1, the exploration company announced the appointment of James Albrecht to the position of Chief Financial Officer for the company.

The second most active stock on the TSX Venture was Gold Bullion Development Corp. (TSX: V.GBB, Stock Forum). It fell 12.5% and was trading at $0.035 after two million shares changed hands.

The junior mining company had no related news to explain the high volume in trading.
