American Manganese Inc. (TSX: V.AMY, OTCPINK: AMYZF, Forum) said Thursday a testing program has confirmed that all the commonly used rechargeable electric cathode materials can be leached using the company’s proprietary hyrometallurgical process.

“Lithium, cobalt, nickel, aluminum, and manganese can then be recovered by either discrete product or co-product precipitation, depending on which flowsheet is being used,’’ said American Manganese President Larry Reaugh.

More information can be found here.

American Manganese was in the news recently when the company said it plans to complete a non-brokered private placement that is expected to generate proceeds of up to $1 million by way of a unit offering priced at 18 cents per unit.

Full Disclosure: American Manganese Inc. is a paid client of Stockhouse Publishing.
