EDMONTON, Feb. 4, 2013 /CNW/ - F.V.Ramsoondar, President and Chief
Executive Officer of United Protection Security Group Inc. ("UPSG" or
the "Company"), (TSX-V: UZZ) is pleased to announce the following
corporate updates:

The Board of Directors of UPSG has appointed Lawrence R. Cunningham as
Chairman of the Board. Mr. Cunningham has been a director of UPSG
since 2008, and Chair of the Governance Committee since 2009. Mr.
Cunningham is an active member of the Law Society of Alberta.

The Company has appointed Mr. Brent Moore as the Chief Financial Officer
("CFO") of UPSG, effective immediately. Mr. Moore holds the
professional accounting designation of Certified Management Accountant
("CMA").Mr. Moore brings extensive business, accounting and financial
reporting expertise to the Company.

Mr. Moore has held various positions with accounting firms in the
Edmonton area since 1990 and has served a wide range of clients in both
the public and private sectors. Mr. Moore has been involved in the
external audit of Canadian public companies listed on the Canadian
Venture Exchange including junior mining, junior oil and gas,
manufacturing, security services and oilfield support services in
pipeline maintenance and fluid hauling. As well, Mr. Moore has
experience in business and asset acquisitions, corporate
reorganizations, initial public offerings, reverse takeovers, and
corporate asset sales. Mr. Moore received his Masters of Business
Administration in 1992 from the Rotman School of Management (Toronto)
and Certified Management Accountant designation in 1995 in Alberta.
