NEW YORK, March 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

Today, Investors Alliance announced new research reports highlighting Pan American Silver Corp. (NASDAQ: PAAS), Hecla Mining Company (NYSE: HL), Acme Packet, Inc. (NASDAQ: APKT), Sonus Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: SONS) and Delta Air Lines, Inc. (NYSE:DAL). Pan American Silver Corp. Research Report

During Q3 2012, silver mining company Pan American Silver Corp. produced 6.9 million ounces of silver, an increase of 30 percent over Q3 2011. The company has produced 25.1 million ounces for the full year, an increase of 15 percent from 2011. Geoff Burns, president and CEO of Pan American noted that the company achieving its target for silver production and cash costs was the result of the acquisition and integration of the Dolores mine. Its La Colorada and San Vicente mines also established new annual silver production records. In 2013, Pan American expects to produce 25 to 26 million ounces of silver, and cash costs are forecast at $11.80 to $12.80 per ounce of silver. Capital investments in 2013 are expected to total $157 million. Chief Operating Officer Steve Busby sees 2013 to be another record-setting production year for the company. Hecla Mining Company Research Report

Shares of Hecla Mining Company, the largest and one of the lowest cash cost silver producers in the US, climbed 3.05 percent and closed at $5.41 in the last trading session. At the market close on February 4, Hecla only fell six cents or 1.1 percent, to $5.35. The loss was due to the shutting down of its Lucky Mine to make some safety improvements. This year, the mine is going to be reopened, gearing up for a big production boost. The company expects to hit production of over 2 million ounces by the end of 2013. The company also sports a solid balance sheet and pays a dividend as well, that's why analysts and investors are still confident with Hecla. Demand for precious metals, including silver, will always be there. Unlike gold, silver has more utility, being more widely used in industrial and medical applications. By 2015, silver production for industrial use is expected to rise to 660 million, leaving around 240 million ounces available for investing. Analysts are seeing that silver prices are likely to go much higher in the future. Acme Packet, Inc. Research Report

Oracle Corporation has announced that it will acquire Acme Packet, Inc., a network gear maker, for $2.1 billion. Acme's assets will be a crucial component in Oracle's plan to improve its cloud computing services by enabling secure communications from any device. This recent acquisition has also sparked rumors about other companies being added to Oracle's portfolio. Acme had a tough fourth quarter last year, with earnings down 65% from the same period a year prior. Because of this, many have commented that Oracle has paid a steep premium for the acquisition of Acme, with the offer being six times more than the target company's sales over the last 12 months. In defense of Oracle's recent purchase, however, an analyst at Jefferies & Co. notes that this acquisition can "bolster the demand for Sun hardware, expand Oracle's unified communications portfolio, and expand Oracle's relationship with large telco service providers." Delta Air Lines, Inc. Research Report

Delta Airlines Inc. (NYSE:DAL) is soaring to greater heights with 4.3% year-over-year growth despite the $0.28 EPS it posted compared to last year's $0.45 EPS. According to some analysts and investors, the company's performance is acceptable because of the 9% increase in unit costs. Despite of this glitch, Delta's financial and operating performance for January 2013 showed an impressive revenue gain of 5.5% versus the same month last year. It seems to be a good start for Delta as the company reached a monthly completion factor of a solid 99.5%. Delta has been very aggressive in expanding its operations. From travel luxuries to destinations, Delta is exploring all avenues to combine each customer's quality of experience with the company's efficiency in delivering commendable service. The Glass Bottom Jet application alone has been improving Delta's market share, and more so for the company's ongoing lounge project called The Sky Deck. Delta is also looking at offering more seats while cutting down on flights with the help of bigger aircraft.
