Diamond announced today that it will begin offering its world-class
1906 tea blend in an exclusive package for Sam’s Club members throughout
the southern United States. The customized product is geared toward
individual and business consumers who want to brew quart-size tea bags,
but who prefer to buy in bulk; starting this week, members can purchase
a case of six separately packaged cartons, each containing 24
individually wrapped, one-quart tea bags.

“Red Diamond is excited to bring a customized tea-blend product to Sam’s
Club members,” said Dave Burke, Red Diamond’s Executive Vice President.
“We proudly developed the new, six-carton packaging within 30 days of
Sam’s Club’s initial challenge to expand Red Diamond’s current store
products.”
“One of the reasons Sam’s Club issued its challenge was because they
recognize that tea, and specifically freshly-brewed ice tea, is a
high-growth category,” added Wilbur Christy, Red Diamond’s Director of
Innovation. “Red Diamond is proud to serve Sam’s Club members, and we

Each case will brew 36 total gallons of tea and initially will be
offered to Sam’s Club members in 73 stores across five states: Alabama;
Georgia; Louisiana; Mississippi; and Tennessee.
The new Sam’s Club package is the latest development to come from Red
Diamond’s 2013 campaign to drive new, innovative coffee and tea
products. Most recently, the company introduced its new single-serve
technology in May and its Wright’s
Mill coffee in April.
Red Diamond is one of the three oldest coffee, tea and foodservice
