Experts at fifth annual event offer strategies to work together in fundraising and programs

VANCOUVER, Sept. 9, 2013 /CNW/ - On Wednesday, September 11, 2013, more than 350 charities will come together to receive expert advice at the fifth annual Scotiabank Philanthropic Advisory Forum. The theme of the free forum, 'Leveraging Partnerships", will explore ideas and best practices specific to the charitable sector in British Columbia with a focus on why and how these organizations are working together in fundraising and programs.

When:		Wednesday, September 11, 2013 7:30 - 8:45 a.m. - Networking and Continental Breakfast 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. - Presentations followed by Question Period

Where:		Scotiabank Theatre 900 Burrard Street, Vancouver, BC

		Britt Andersen, Chief Executive Officer, Coast Mental Health Foundation

		Scotiabank will donate five $1,000 door prizes to charities in attendance, as well as 10 individual door prizes.

		More than $810,000 in funds raised through the 2013 Scotiabank Charity Challenge will be presented to charities in attendance.
