"Customers depend on Fujitsu server systems and solutions to power some of the most demanding applications in their datacenters. By offering Fusion-io, Fujitsu has the ideal complement to our core offering, delivering significant performance gains in scenarios ranging from VDI to complex database analytics," said Uwe Neumeier, Vice President of Global Server Sales at Fujitsu. "Fujitsu strives to continuously gain efficiency and effectiveness in datacenter environments, and being able to provide industry-leading acceleration from Fusion-io underlines our commitment to helping our customers gain a competitive edge in the market place."

Fujitsu products, solutions and services are available in more than 100 countries worldwide. Fujitsu's mission-critical PRIMEQUEST servers provide high-end server functionality with support for standard operating systems such as Linux and Windows, as well as virtualized environments. PRIMEQUEST servers offer the reliability of mainframe and UNIX server systems, the high performance of a supercomputer, and the flexibility of an open architecture. Energy-efficient Fujitsu PRIMERGY x86 servers for Windows, Linux and virtualized environments offer a complete datacenter ecosystem with performance that helps enterprises operate more efficiently.

In powerful server systems such as the Fujitsu PRIMEQUEST and PRIMERGY servers, the ioDrive2 delivers ultra-low latency performance for all enterprise applications. With a scalable architecture that seamlessly extends server performance, the Fusion ioDrive2 reduces costly storage sprawl by accelerating data in the server where it is processed, further enhancing the value of Fujitsu server systems. In addition to industry-leading application acceleration, self-healing and wear management features in Fusion ioMemory products provide predictive monitoring to ensure business-critical applications perform as expected.

Bwin.party, the world's largest online gaming company, added Fusion-io performance for its Microsoft SQL Server database hosted on PRIMERGY servers, noting that the Fujitsu system with Fusion-io delivered the most performance among all tested architectures. In addition to enhancing performance, Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers also reduce capital and operational expenditures through virtualization and sophisticated system management functions with proven energy-efficient technology.

"Fujitsu servers deliver trusted performance and reliability, and Fusion-io is proud to complement Fujitsu systems with Fusion ioMemory to accelerate all business-critical enterprise applications from databases to virtualization," said Will Hall, Fusion-io Vice President of Worldwide OEM and Channel Sales. "As enterprises around the world architect their IT systems to transform information into actionable insights in real time, the Fusion ioDrive2 accelerates Fujitsu customers' most important applications with an easily integrated and scalable solution that is trusted by thousands of customers."

Fusion-io will be showcasing ioDrive2 performance for Fujitsu servers at the Fujitsu Forum in Munich, Germany from November 6-7, 2013.
