Fusion-io Hires David Windley as Executive Vice President, Human Resources

SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Fusion-io (NYSE: FIO) today announced that David Windley has joined the company as executive vice president, human resources. Formerly chief HR officer and executive vice president at Yahoo!, Windley has supported the development and growth of positive, performance-based employee cultures throughout corporate transitions at numerous global technology leaders, including Yahoo!, Microsoft, Intuit and Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI). Windley joins Fusion-io with nearly three decades of experience guiding human resources leadership and execution at companies in domestic and international markets.

Windley has served as a director of the Society of Human Resources Management, a professional human resources association since January 2013. Windley previously served as executive vice president, chief human resources officer at Yahoo! from 2008 to 2012, and as vice president, human resources at Yahoo! from 2006 to 2008.  From 2003 to 2006, Windley served as general manager of human resources at Microsoft Corporation, supporting Microsoft's chief operating officer.  From 2001 to 2003, Windley served as a vice president, human resources at Intuit Inc., and from 1991 to 2001, Windley held various HR roles at Silicon Graphics, Inc., including vice president of human resources. Windley holds a B.S. in Business Administration from San Diego State University and an M.B.A. from San Francisco State University.
