QUOTES:

"This is great news, and a win-win for West Virginia.  Building our technology infrastructure and making certain every corner of our state has dependable, advanced wireless service remains one of my top priorities,"  said Senator Jay Rockefeller.  "As Chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, I have tried to spur wireless investment in West Virginia and promote greater technology deployments on all fronts. Verizon's expanded service in Weirton will create exciting new opportunities for the area, particularly for local businesses and schools. I want to commend Verizon for its commitment to expanding 4G LTE service in West Virginia, now to 28 markets in the state, since it first launched LTE coverage here less than three years ago."

"4G LTE is changing the way customers interact with the world via next generation apps, devices and solutions," said Mark Frazier, president–Ohio/Pennsylvania/West Virginia Region, Verizon Wireless. "By investing in wireless broadband, we're investing in local communities and economies where our customers live, work and play."
